The article isn’t clear. You can’t extend it until it expires. You then have 30 days to extend it. I suggest extending it the day after it expires while it is still on your mind. Perhaps set a reminder.

That's what I'll do, I guess. Seems weird though. I don't see why you can't extend it while the original coverage is still valid, you know, have the new one begin the day the first one expires.
