Launchpad Not Working Properly

Macbook M2

13 inch 16GB

Ventura 13.2.1

I don't frequently use Launchpad, so I do not know if this originated from an OS upgrade. It infrequently works when I click with my mouse on the dots at the bottom of the screen. Similarly, The trackpad has a similar negative impact - the screen does not change when swiping the trackpad with my fingers.

So far I have verified that I am operating the current operating system, and have shut down and restarted my computer with a negative effect.

Realizing I do not have the advantages provided by Launchpad, I have deemed it essential to my work.

Any help and assistance would be greatly appreciated.
