Malware identification on IPhone

How do we check our phones for malware? Supposedly there should be a free way from Apple to do so without having to do a hard reset. With all the ways malware can be installed, even from using public charging stations, this should seem easier to find.

Can anyone help?

Due to the sandbox nature of iOS, iPhone isn't subject to virus or malware unless you click on a link and download something to your phone. Anti-Virus or scanning software isn't needed for iOS at all.

You can check Settings > Settings  > General > VPN & Device Management

If there is a profile there you don't recognize, you can remove it. If there isn't (there likely isn't), you likely have nothing to be concerned about.
