Error VS CODE/ Python, the save file operation failed to connect to the open and save panel service

I'm working on an assignment for uni and I need to be able to "add" and "delete" files when running VS code.

However, when I try to do so, this error pops up.

I have the latest version of both programs downloaded as well as the latest OS.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 13.3

Is this a problem with VS Code and/or Python? Or is it a problem with an app you are developing?

Regardless, the app metadata is scrambled. It is confused about the document types and imported/exported UTIs. That can be tricky to get right, even on Xcode. It isn't well documented. God help you if you are trying to do it on VS Code or Python.
