Playing music on iPhone but after first song it transfer to apple tv

Why does my music play over Apple TV when I start it on my iPhone and after first song it transfer to Apple TV and nothing can change it back. I have verified that the iPhone, Apple TV and music app are the newest versions. Also power has be cycled on both Apple TV and the iPhone. Same situation continues.

I reviewed settings on Apple TV remote and found nothing out of ordinary as to iPhone settings.

having done that level of diagnosis I need further assistance

We suggest seeing if there is anything queued in "Now Playing" on your Apple TV: Now Playing: Control music playback on Apple TV - Apple Support

You may also want to check to make sure that your iPhone isn't using AirPlay to stream to the Apple TV: Use AirPlay to stream audio - Apple Support
