Lost Airpods

I lost one AirPod and in find my it said where it was but then I had to reset my AirPods because of sound issues. Now when I go to Find my it doesn’t show where they are and says “No Location” I looked at the the help guide for find my and I did everything it said but it still isn’t working. What do I do to see both airpods or even just the one that I still have?

"Lost Airpods: If you can’t find the AirPod could you still use Find My so you could locate the other Airpod that you still have?"

Finding One AirPods with Find My:

In theory, you could. You'd have to look at the location that it shows up at --and it's the location of the last device these were paired to, that was itself connected to the Internet. You could look at the history of Find My, and check those locations. AirPods don't show up on their own, because they are not assigned their own IP Address. But, you need to have both for it to show up --because they do not sync together as separate Serial Numbers. They're not showing up, so look at the locations and items that show up, and see if any item in Find My rings a bell about the pairing.

Use of "Find My" and AirPods:

If Find My was enabled with these, then you may be able to find them there. Note that this is based off of the last time the device they were connected to was itself connected to the internet. This is because they do not have their own IP Address. So, use a site like Mapquest to backtrack to this location.

Locating Lost AirPods:

A. Go Here: How to Find your Lost AirPods, AirPods Pro, or AirPods Max - Apple Support

B. Backtrack your Locations:

When it comes to finding a lost AirPods, you only option is to backtrack your locations. This is because AirPods are not assigned their own IP address. If seen in Find My, then the location provided is based on the last time they were synced to a device that is synced with the same Apple ID. So, if at a library recently, then stop in, asking the librarian, if they have come across it, and placed it aside.

B. Lost-&-Found:

Chick with the Lost & Found department of the facility you were in, seeing if it has been handed over.

C. Contact Local Authorities:

See if the community police, or local security guards at the front door, can across it.

D. Use Craigslist:

Put a post on Craigslist, seeing if they have been found.
