How can I locate lost AirPods through Find My?

I lost a single AirPod and went to the Apple Store to get a replacement. I got my replacement and set it up like I was told. When I set it up tho I began to not be able to see the location of my AirPods as a whole. I went in and tried removing and reconnecting them but it did not do anything. I even went to the Apple Store and they factory reset them. How can I track my AirPods through find my again?

The replacement AirPod likely has a different serial number than the original:

You may want to check the set-up of your AirPod-replacement

See: Set up your replacement AirPods or charging case - Apple Support

If needed: See: How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro - Apple Support

You can also browse through : Set up Find My on all your devices - Apple Support for tips

Eg: says:

"Set up your AirPods or Beats headphones

If you pair your AirPods or Beats headphones with your iPhone or iPad, they show up in your Devices list in the Find My app. You can use Find My to locate or play a sound on them. If your AirPods support the Find

My network, you can also mark them as lost.

Note: If you pair your AirPods or Beats headphones when your iPhone or iPad is not connected to a data network (such as 3G, 4G, LTE, or Wi-Fi), you may not have access to all the Find My features.
