Can't login to Messenger app (desktop)

You can still use FB Messenger from within your web browser. As long as you are able to log in using your browser to Facebook, Messenger will work as well.

So I seem to have fixed the issue by opening the Keychain app in mac and searching for Messenger Desktop App>Access Control and removing the app thats on there. then click the (+) and navigate to the applications folder and select the Messenger app. Save changes and you should be good.

To access Keychain passwords, you generally use the same password you use to log into the computer.

That's sounds like a Facebook issue. Sorry I can't help you with that.
