ipad and ssd issues

please help me

ok so my sandisk extreme 2tb ssd doesn’t work when i connect it to my ipad i connect it via a anker usb c hub and the drive shows up on my ipad but the issue is that is shows up but says there’s nothing on there but i have like 100GBs on there and need them but ok my mac it all shows up no issue and i used the same hub to connect my ssd to my mac. the ssd is formatted to the APFS format so i don’t see why i have this issue. anyone please can you help me i am only 14 so maybe i made a mistake somewhere

Is the hub externally powered? If not, try an externally-powered hub.

Have you tried just connecting it directly without the hub? Your drive should have come with a short USB 3.2 cable.
