On my M1 Macbook air, trackpad handwriting apprears on all desktop and works fine for awhile and then it will only show on one desktop and if I switch to another the handwriting window appears for half a second,, then disappears. It will return to normal functioning if I log out and log back in, but then in an hour it can fail again.
I may have found the source of the problem, and a work-around of sorts. I can dependably produce the malfunction in trackpad handwriting by opening a video in full screen. So far, if I avoid using full-screen viewing, trackpad handwriting continues to function normally. I hope this note will be of help to anyone else experiencing this problem. I have also forwarded this observation to apple on the bug report site. Maybe that will motivate them to fix it.

Thank you but I have done that several times and through several upgrades of Mac OS and there has been no change in the problem. I am hoping there is something I can do to resolve the problem. Thanks for your response.
Add that to some (new) feedback. More clues, more better, maybe it gets found and fixed.
I have just reported this again for the upteenth time. I am disappointed to see this neglected.
