WiFi Issues with iOS16.4.1 ?
Anyone experiences (like me) WiFi issues with iOS 16.4.1 which was supposed to fix the WiFi problems... dog running after it's tail... Any fix yet ?

It’s been the same with mine. Even tho it connects I can’t run a speed test. The icon doesn’t show either. This is frustrating, it even stops me from watching any videos that I need to stream. I can only text. I can’t even make FaceTime calls
Can I already gave a phone I told you where are you? My brother is rushing me to get off the phone.
My M1 iPad (iPadOS 16.4.1) is definitely having this problem, and possible my M1 Max MBP (MacOS 13.3.1). Don’t use my iPhone 14 Pro enough on a wifi network to know if it suffers the issue. iPad suffers the worst, though. Web pages just hang while loading. If I turn wi-if off/on, web pages will load. I reset network settings on the iPad and everything seemed ok for a few days but it’s happening again. Don’t know how to reset network settings on the MBP. I thought maybe there was an issue with my xFinity xFi Gateway wireless router. Figured maybe I should get it replaced, but now I’m not sure.
My spouse and I both have the same problem. I have the 14 Plus she has the 14. After updating to 16.4.1 and subsequent 16.4.1(a) we constantly lose WiFi and when trying to join networks our phones just say "Unable to connect to network." I know the network is working because the rest of my network is up and running. This happens across multiple networks and no consistent timing. When we are connected to WiFi the speeds are much lower than normal and there will be times social media sites cannot even load videos.
Seems like numerous users are having the same issue with the new OS. Apple needs to fix this and let all users know what’s being done to correct the problem!!
Sometimes, when I unlock my iPhone 13 Pro, I notice that the phone disconnects from Wi-Fi for a very brief moment and then reconnects back again.
I have no VPN active, I have also tried resetting the network settings and disabling the Wi-Fi assist. Nothing works.
I’m having the same issue of my wifi disconnecting constantly and I’m running 16.3.1 still! So I don’t necessarily think it’s the update?
discussions on the thread should only focus on the subject which is WiFi issues with iOS16.4.1 to not confuse other users.
you can start a discussion and post your issues regarding iOS 16.3.1 so other users with the same iOS version can effectively help out to resolve your issue.
so far on this thread even if apple already did a emergency update as 16.4.1(a) it didn't help as others still encounter the same issue connecting to the WiFi
I have been unable to connect multiple devices to my home Wi-Fi through my phone on 16.4.1(a) but no problem with another phone on iOS 16.4.0
seems like a potentially big problem.
I just discovered that my Wi-Fi isn’t working as well when I tried to connect my brand new Roborock S8 to home network and failed multiple times 🤦♀️. Apparently I’ve been on my mobile network all this time without noticing it since updating to 16.4.1(a) - the settings show that I’m connected to Wi-Fi but the Wi-Fi sign doesn’t show in the upper right corner and when I turn mobile network off there is no internet connection at all. Rebooting and resetting network settings didn’t help.
Apple needs to fix it asap!
With 16.4.1 connecting to any public Wi-Fi is impossible.
This posting is all about the discussion group and nothing has been done.
Can some supervisor get on top of this please and go ahead and get this fixed. Anybody please add your postings if you’re having problems with us right now which is a serious problem.
This is the link of the existing post things that people have been talking about for quite a while now, and nobody’s been doing anything about it:
IOS16 public Wifi problem | Apple Developer Forums
let’s go ahead and get this integrated for the next update please this is really an unusual thing. The password box should be enabled first off so you can add a password to your own little hotspot within the Wi-Fi unsecured network to get around this and it’s totally gone.
This is ridiculous so if a supervisor can’t do this, Apple, go ahead and have the next level upwards of supervisors. Go ahead and take a serious look at this, because the android people are starting to come up and numbers which means less phones manufactured in China for fusion unless Apple buyers so why have that when you can keep a market share.
Have a nice day.
It has been bad before this update but the wifi connection is unusable for 30% of the time. Nothing came from apple so far and i would be baffled if theyd adress it.
Just wanted to report back that I'm not having these wi-fi issues with any of my devices anymore. I don't know what update fixed it on all my devices, but all is good now. I'm currently running iOS 16.5.1 (iPhone 14 Pro), iPadOS 16.5.1 (M1 iPad Pro), and MacOS 13.4.1 (M1 MacBook Pro).
I just updated to version 16.5.1 c on my iPhone 11. I join my network fine and wifi looks ok then within minutes it disconnects.
checked my internet router and signal all ok. My ipad which i havent updated is fine. Connects and stays connected.
its defo the update thats the problem.
