Hi :) I accidentally turned the mouse keys on and as I was working on something else, the screen locked and I can’t type in my password, nor turn the mouse keys off. I tried the command option F5 shortcut, but it’s not working. I tried every option suggested online, but it’s not very helpful. However, it seems that I’m not the only person with this issue. Hope you can help and provide me with another suggestion.

You've posted an issue with Mouse Keys being enabled on your Mac and being unable to turn it off. You mentioned already walking through a few steps, including the combination of pressing Option-Command-F5. If you've tried that again (making sure to press all three keys at the same time) and it still hasn't disabled, let's check something else.
If your MacBook Air has Touch ID, you would instead quickly press Touch ID three times. This would also apply if you are using a Magic Keyboard with your MacBook Air that has Touch ID.
