MacBook Air Won’t switch on…

Hi there, I have a macbook air 2020 model that I used to change a setting in an app that I use. Battery was low but just closed the screen so it can go to sleep mode and then it went dead… No matter what I’ve tried it won’t switch on… Any reason why that would happen? Was working fine before I closed the screen.
