Bluetooth enable notifications is missing for my device

It is 100% an Apple Bluetooth issue! For 2.5 years I was receiving texts to my Rover infotainment screen. Text display stopped when I updated to the latest iOS. The iPhone Bluetooth (halo) for my vehicle is now missing the Allow Notifications menu item and related toggle switch! #Apple please send a fix!!

I am having the same problem. The notifications came through just fine until the recent iOS update. I have to do the updates to be compliant with my employer’s electronic policy and since that update there is no longer a toggle button for allow notifications for the Harlow view under Bluetooth settings. It is definitely on the Apple side of things from the last update. Would love for this to be fixed. Calls still come through, but really relied on the notifications coming through as well.

Did you find a solution? My Bluetooth for my GLC (2019) no longer allows SMS messages. I cannot turn on notifications in the Bluetooth - the option is no longer available. Really frustrating that i can no longer read SMS. Iphone 12 too.

Same here! Strange thing is, in my BMW 4 series there isn’t t an issue and the “show notification “ toggle is still present. However, when connected to MAN MMT system (an Audi product) in my truck, the toggle is absent. It was there before the update and shortly afterwards too, but when it refreshed the contacts list later that day, it disappeared. My BMW has Apple CarPlay fitted so I imagine that is the reason it still has the toggle present in that connection , but not happy. My work iPhone I haven’t updated and that, when connected, still displays the toggle switch!

Ive tried all the workarounds I can find, but the crux of the problem is the “enable notifications” toggle is no longer there when I go into Bluetooth “i” button for my Halo. What happened here??? What’s up, Apple?? I think it must have been a recent update. I’m now running 16.4.1 on my 2020 SE.

PLEASE can anyone explain how to fix this? Am I just going to have to wait for Apple to fix it with an update? I just want the toggle back so I can get text notifications again.

Texts message is a phone carrier feature and you're using an Amazon product none of which is an Apple issue.

I’m having the same issue with my Mercedes Command system. I used to get an SMS alert and could read texts on the car interface but it’s all greyed out now and allow notifications has disappeared from the Bluetooth menu on the phone. iPhone 12 Pro iOS 16.4.1 (a)

I think there's enough people with the same problem with various applications from other manufacturers to say that the problem qite clearly needs a fix from Apple.

Anyone from Apple here to comment???

I am strugling with the same problem on my Jag Infotainment system on my Iphone 14 with IOS 16.5.1.

Odd is that it eorks on my Iphone X with same IOS version.

Could someone from Apple explain what we need to do one our newer models to get the Notifications option visible on the bluetooth device?

I wondered the same about their products. But then just say that nothing but an Apple Watch can be synced for notifications rather than the limbo we are in now.
