Why do certain iPhone calls not have an audible sound when they call?
why do certain phone calls not have an audible sound when they call. I assume it is an adjustment in settings but have not figured it out.

If the issue is with "Some" calls then it is a Carrier Issue and report it to them.
Reasons could be tower strength, weak signal, Telecommunication Traffic, Old Switches, Compatibility with multiple Service providers, negative competition (Block some to give way to others) etc
