SOLUTION Lightning Digital AV Adapter (HDMI) and VGA Adapter - projector/TV connection

HDMI adaptor model A1438 & VGA model A1439 - iPad Pro 10.5 running iPadOS 16.1.4

Both stopped working connected to a projector, and the HDMI adaptor to a TV. I searched for the solution for ages, then discovered this works:

When trying to use the adaptors a message appears ‘Accessory - Downloading accessory firmware. Your accessory will not function until the download completes.’
Leave this onscreen for a while (I did 15 minutes).
Then touch OK.

Both adaptors worked again, including using HDMI to mirror NetflixUK to a TV, (with WiFi and downloads).
