Native Terminal True Color Support
I'm curious why apple hasn't implemented truecolor support for the native terminal app.
Luis Sequeira1 asked what the point is of implementing true color support in this thread:
macOS Terminal – Truecolor support - Apple Community
A lot of backend software is developed not for consumer facing applications, but instead for developers to use.
My opinion is that a beautiful interface promotes ease of use and helps eliminate frustration.
If adhering to modern graphic standards isn't necessary, then we might as well get rid of graphic interfaces all together and eliminate the mouse while we're at it.
Apple prides itself on it's aesthetics. But the native terminal app is one place where aesthetic capabilities are disappointing at best. (at least if you're trying to build a command line software for developers to use).
Does anyone know why apple has refused to implement true color when the render engine for the terminal app can clearly support it?
