If you want to export a photo for another use, like putting on a web page or emailing to friends, then you can use the Export command under the file menu: File>Export>Export nn Photos. You'll get a dialog like this:



For "Size" you can choose Small, Medium, Large, Full Size, or Custom. With custom you can, for instance, set the maximum width in pixels.


If you're aiming for a specific number of megabytes, you can experiment with different settings and see what you get-- it will depend on the picture.


After you hit "Export" in the dialog, you can specify the destination folder for the picture.
