I can’t get Meterstatusmenu to trash on my MacBook Pro

I have a MacBook Air and Meterstatusmenu needs to be moved to trash manually. I keep trying and can’t get it to trash, computer locked up, what to do?

I've never heard of this app before and did not find anything in a quick search. The closest I came is one link and two references to "Menu Meters" or "Meter Menu".

Follow the developer's instructions to uninstall the app.

I'm assuming this app originally came with an installer. Apps which use an installer usually install bits of the app into the lower bowels of the OS to function. This means that you must use the app's uninstall feature to fully remove the app.

The app's uninstaller may be a button, or menu option within the app itself. If the app is stored within a folder, then the uninstaller may be located within that folder along with the app itself. Sometimes the uninstaller may be located within the app's package bundle.....right-click (control-click) on the app and select "Package contents"...many times the uninstaller may be there or it may be within the "Contents", "Resources", or "macOS" folder within the app bundle (it should be clearly named). Sometimes the original installer app will include an option for uninstalling the app. Other times you may need to download a special uninstaller app from the developer's website, or maybe the developer only provides instructions for manually removing each individual component.

The developer is the best source of knowing the proper way to uninstall the app they developed.

If you are using the app's or developer's uninstaller, then try booting into Safe Mode to try uninstalling the app again.
