My apple watch 7 was lost to me, my closet flooded and I found it not submerged but wet. What do I do if I have no rice? or what else can I do? Is this series waterproof?
No Apple Watch is waterproof. They are water resistant. Rice is an old Wive's Tale. As a desiccant, they can actually cause more harm than good.
In what state is your watch? Did you dry it off and try to charge it? Does it charge? Is it functional at all?
There is a good chance your watch body will survive with little more than a damp ego, but it might have a water damaged band/strap if this was not water resistant. Please see Apple’s notes in About Apple Watch water resistance - Apple Support

And yes, lobsterghost1 was correct about rice being unhelpful and ineffective. It only absorbed significant water when boiled. If you ever need a real drying agent in the future get some Silica Gel (somewhere like Amazon should have some hits).
Yes, I have heard of silica gel as an option. I couldn't imagine it but I will take the advice since you know more about this than I do. If there were any scholarly articles with abstracts I would have this down. I am in grad school and research is all I do. Thanks for the help. Oh, it is dry and working fine-ish. Like I am reserving that it is good until its been a few more days.
