MacBook Air Early 2015 Wont Update from Catalina 10.15

Hi, I can't seem to update my MacBook Air Early 2015 Model with 4GB Ram to a new version. This is a problem because I apparently need to do this before I can update my Safari Browser. Is there a way to update Safari without updating the OS? Online help says I can but I haven't been able to. Thanks!!

An early 2015 MacBook Air can be updated to macOS Monterey (but no later) and that will run the current version of Safari. See the following from Identify your MacBook Air model - Apple Support

MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015)

Model Identifier: MacBookAir7,2

Part Numbers: MJVE2xx/A, MJVG2xx/A, MMGF2xx/A, MMGG2xx/A

Newest compatible operating system: macOS Monterey

To upgrade to Monterey, see instructions in How to download macOS - Apple Support
