I always use Photos to edit pictures then send them through iMessage. Today, however, I go through the process of selecting a picture, choosing to "Share," clicking on iMessage, and nothing happens. My MacBook Pro M1 has all of its Software up-to-date and this has never been an issue before. Is there something I can do to be able to share Photos again? (the individual I wish to send images to has an iPhone 13, no issue there)

While simple, have you tried restarting your Mac? Given there were no other changes and it was working properly, it may be a temporary issue resolved by a restart. You can restart from the Apple menu > Restart.
