iTunes says not enough space to back up

iTunes says there is not enough space to back up my iPhone. I'm backing up a 32 gig iPhone to an internal hard drive on my Mac with 160 gigs available. Does that make any sense at all?

Not enough space on mac to back up iPhone to iTunes? I am trying to sync my iPhone 11 to to iTunes on my mac. Have not had problems in the past but Im getting a error message that's says there's not enough room on my computer to back up and to try deleting some files. I show almost 33 GB available on my hard drive. Shouldn't that be plenty to back up?

iTunes Backup and Deleting Hello guys, I got a problem! I was backing up my 64gb iPhone to a windows pc and I didn’t recognize the limited space on the pc until the backup didn’t complete due to shortage of storage! Now my pc is filled up with backup data and it’s now running so slow and yet the backup didn’t complete do it isn’t recognized! I want space on the pc! How do I delete those already backed up but unrecognized files please help me out!

To be clear: the Mac I'm backing up to has 160 gigs available hard drive space. The phone is a 32 gig iPhone 7.
