Emails not remaining as Icon when sent

MacOS big sir 11.7.4

when sending an email document I mark as view as ICON but when the receiver gets the email it is the whole document instead of the ICON. Never had this problem until recently.

Can this be corrected so when the person who receives sees an Icon not the document unless they double clik on the icon

Mac mini, OS X 10.11

Once the e-mail is send the User has Zero control on how the Recipients e-mail Client ( Application ) will render the file attachment

Some e-mail client will respect the icon file attachment while others will not and render it as a Full Document or image

You can change how attachments are displayed in the Compose window (this doesn’t determine how attachments are shown for your recipients).

To display an attachment (such as a one-page PDF document or an image) as an icon, Control-click the attachment in your message, then choose View as Icon. To show the attachment again, Control-click it, then choose View in Place.
