Greasy Ipad Case

My iPad case (not from Apple) was made of some sort of silicone material and the back of the iPad was constantly greasy. Was wondering if it was the silicone material or the generated heat of the iPad that caused the greasy residue? Just want to make sure if I should still use the iPad case.

Some synthetic materials can be chemically unstable, break down and/or leach solvents or other materials. Generally this issue is associated with cheap or poor quality products.


You would be best advised to discard the case - and clean your iPad following Apple’s cleaning guidance:
