Hi,

Sorry to hear that your Apple Watch is not connecting to your cellular provider. That can be frustrating! Let's see if we can troubleshoot this together.

First, have you tried restarting your watch? Sometimes that can help with connectivity issues. Just press and hold the side button until the Power Off slider appears, then slide to turn it off. Press and hold the side button again to turn it back on.

If that didn't work, you might want to check with your cellular provider to make sure that your plan is active and that your watch is enrolled in the plan. They should be able to verify that for you.

Another thing to try is checking for any software updates. Sometimes updates can fix issues like this. Just open the Watch app on your iPhone, go to General, and then select Software Update.

If all else fails, you could try resetting your network settings or unpairing and pairing your watch again. But before doing so, make sure to create a backup of your watch data to avoid losing anything important.

Hope this helps! If none of these steps work, don't hesitate to reach out to Apple support or your cellular provider for further assistance.

Hi there,

I just wanted to follow up on your recent query about your Apple Watch not connecting to your cellular provider. It can be frustrating when technology doesn't work as expected, but I'm glad to offer some suggestions that might help.

As mentioned before, one thing you could try is restarting your watch, which often resolves connectivity issues. If that doesn't work, you might want to check with your cellular provider to ensure your plan is active and that your watch is enrolled in the plan.

It's also worth checking for any software updates as these can sometimes resolve issues. If none of these steps work, you could try resetting your network settings or unpairing and pairing your watch again, but be sure to create a backup of your watch data before doing so to avoid losing anything important.

If you've tried all of these steps and are still experiencing issues, don't hesitate to reach out to Apple support or your cellular provider for further assistance.

I hope this helps and that you're able to get your Apple Watch connected again soon!

Cellular is considered the most "expensive" mode of communication, both in $$ and in battery life. Your Apple Watch will communicate through Bluetooth to your iPhone when it is available, and only activate its cellular radio if all other communication is unavailable. In practical terms that means for testing you have to power down (or move out of range) both the paired iPhone and any WiFi to which the watch might try to connect. Depending on your cellular network and signal strength it might then take up to about 1 minute while the watch negotiates a connection, before it goes fully live on Cellular.

As a rough guide, my Series 7 will usually activate cellular if I leave my iPhone inside and go out to the street outside my home. (Distance - around 30-40 metres by the time I notice)

Pleased to share experience and help.

One hint for your test - I'm not sure if the AW Ultra has the Explorer watch face available, but this is one of the best for testing cellular connections. When the 4 little green rings appear you know the iPhone is unreachable and cellular is coming to life, then as soon as some of them turn into green filled solid dots you know it is going to work. When you get 2 or 3 solid dots it is worth trying to make a call - the easy way is to give orders to Siri rather than struggling with a small screen and big fingers.
