How can I make my AirTag sound louder?

The alert is so quiet they are pretty much useless. it’s like the worst and most frustrating game of hide and seek. I’ve given up waiting for some type of remedy from Apple and switched to Tile.

If you can’t hear the sound, or the sound is too faint to locate, use the green arrow find nearby on your locator

The weird chirping sounds like it’s coming from all around. Part of it is my hearing I’m sure, but I can’t stand it.

Completely agree. Low sound and only one way tracking. Tile is way superior. The close proximity tracking isn’t worth the trade off.

I have the 15 and it’s extremely quiet.

A rare Apple product that is simply inferior. The sound is too low to hear tag; Tile wipes out the AirTag on this score. Also, it's a one-way device. Tile can send signals to and from each tag. AirTag can only send signal from an iOS device. Only good for tracking via map. If you're looking for a Tile replacement, wait until Apple thinks this product through.

Apple doesn’t care about this problem because they’re still coming out with newer AirTags and people are complaining about it still. However, if you click the find nearby button instead of the play sound button and walk around it is showing you where you are in relation to the AirTag and you can actually walk to it and find it. That has been helpful for me several times. I do resent paying for three or four of these and them not working correctly as far as being able to hear them at all.
