My notes are not syncing between Mac and iphone - I have tried every suggestion for every article I could find - checked all setteings dozens of times -

SOLUTION: After hours of trying to fix the issue of my iphone notes not syncing to my Macbook Pro, I finally found the solution. Open Notes on your computer, go to File>Accounts>icloud and sign in through that method. Then restart your computer.
I kept going to system preferences>icloud on my Mac and it still wouldn't work, but when I opened Notes>Account and then got to icloud, success! Hope this helps someone else!

ok i went to notes application on desktop computer. I went to file and within the file drop down there is no "account" option from the drop down

Hi, Mwmom, How do you "sign in" from the method you posted above? I can see "accounts" and my "icloud" but nothing then lets me sign in.
This worked for me. On your computer (Mac Sonoma for sure)
System Settings -> iCloud -> under "Apps using iCloud" click Show More Apps... -> click on the Notes app -> toggle Off "Sync this Mac" and then toggle On again.
Check if notes are auto synching now. This worked for me!
Also had the same issue, what resolved it for me is that my iCloud was full so I had to delete some stuff. Once you delete stuff and make room, it will sync again.
On your mac:
System Settings > Click on your name at the top > iCloud > Manage Account Story and then choose what to delete.
