Logitech combo touch doesn't work on my iPad Air 5th Gen

After updating my iPad Air (5th) to iOS 16.4, my Logitech Combo Touch keyboard and trackpad stopped working. Doesn’t light up, so no power. I updated the Logitech Controller app, cleaned the Smart Connector contacts, rebooted the iPad, same result.


I reached out to Logitech and followed their troubleshooting steps. Same result.


It’s pretty clear what’s responsible. It’s either the iPad or the iOS, but I’m guessing it’s no coincidence that the iOS update preceded this.


Anyone else having this issue?

Have the same issue, exactly...the combotouch isn't even showing on the device manager...it has simply ceased to exist in this dimension...wtf?

I recommend that you connect your Logitech Combo Touch Keyboard to another qualified iPad and see whether it works OR if possible, connect your iPad to another Logitech Combo Touch Keyboard. That is probably the best way to determine which device is at fault. You did the troubleshooting recommended by Logitech, however, that did not work so it can be viewed as the Keyboard failing in this example.

I don’t have another iPad to connect it to. I don’t have a spare Logitech Combo Touch lying around, probably why I’m bringing this up.


After iOS 16, it stopped working. The Logitech app won’t load. I did what anyone else would do. I reached out to Logitech first. They are apparently fielding thousands of these complaints. That doesn’t seem like a coincidence.
