I’m using the latest Asus XT12 router.
With both my iPhone 14pro max and iPad Pro 12.9(5thgen) side by side, I conduct a speed test one after another.
The iPhone speed test is always halved of that of iPad Pro.
This result is always consistent no matter how many times I ran the speed test.
I’ve ensure both are connected to the same wifi ssid.
Why is the latest iPhone wifi speed slower?

It's possible your iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPad Pro have different Wi-Fi capabilities. According to the Apple Support technical specifications the two have different Wi-Fi hardware and capabilities:
iPhone 14 Pro Max: Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) with 2x2 MIMO
iPad Pro: Wi‑Fi 6E (802.11ax) with 2x2 MIMO; speeds up to 2.4 Gbps with simultaneous dual bands
You might also look into other reasons for a diminished Wi-Fi connection on your iPhone. Things like an installed VPN, your iPhone case, or even a simple restart can impact your speeds.

Thanks for your response.
I’m using iPad Pro 5th generation, which only has wifi 6.
Based on Apple website, both iPhone14pro max and 5th gen iPad Pro are using same wifi standards.
I’ve tried to reset network setting on both my iphone and iPad Pro.
However, iPad Pro is wifi speed is always faster.
I’m conducting the speed test using ookla Speedtest app on both devices, at the same position.
The probability of iPad Pro is always faster is 1.

It’s my wifi speed, not the devices’ speed.
I think it’s due to the size of the antenna within the devices.
Thus even they have the same wifi standard, the antenna size would be bigger in iPad Pro.
