Loud Notifications During Call

Never have I had blasting notifications during a phone call until my new 14.

No, I do not want to toggle it into Silent Mode each time I have a call.

When is this going to be fixed? Anyone have a solution?

Automatically silence notifications during a phone call - longstanding problem The subject pretty much says it. I'd like my phone to automatically silence notifications when I'm in a call without having to manually turn the sound off and on every. single. time. It looks like there are threads about this as far as 10 years ago at least - is there still not a way to manage this apart from remembering to manually do it? Android developers figured this out ages ago.
