The light works and the camera works, but when taking pictures that requires the flash its light turns off just before the image capture so the image taken was like theres no flash at all. Your flash/camera guide doesnt have the answer

Probably you may have selected Flash in Auto Mode. Please see the pic below iOS 16.4.1 iPhone 12 Pro

Turn the flashlight on or off on your iPhone or iPad Pro

The LED flash on your iPhone or iPad Pro doubles as a flashlight, so you can get extra light when you need it.


There are a few ways you can turn your flashlight on or off. You can ask Siri, or you can use Control Center on an iPhone with Face ID or an iPad Pro. Or use Control Center with an iPhone with a Home button.
