iPhone randomly restarts

Hey guys! Lately my iPhone13 has been randomly restarting. When this happens, a black screen appears alongside with a spinning loading symbol (I’ve attached a similar photo of what this looks like). When the phone does restart, it doesn’t refresh any of my apps like a normal restart would. If I was watching a YouTube video or an Instagram video before the restart, I would still be able to go back into the app and watch view that same video. Also, the restart thing does not kick me out of FaceTime either.

if anyone could tell me what’s happening, or any solutions, that would be very helpful. Thanks heaps.

Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Analytics and Improvements > Analytics Data then you scroll thru this page without clicking on anything in the list. Do you see the word Panic multiple times in the past couple weeks?

Did you ever figure this out? I have the same issue and although I appreciate the other commenter for suggesting a force restart when the issue happens, it happens SO QUICK that the phone is usually back on the Lock Screen before I can do a forced restart.

It’s super quick when this happens and like OP said, you can just carry on with what you were doing beforehand. It doesn’t seem like an actual restarting of the phone.

Panic was before now it’s done reported and exciting to watch panic but not my way Emily Eddie two yo family- I said I would but truth is since gatlinburg- “she won’t do anything.”

gurl it was done when I left to meet mike when they were in gatlinburg. It’s an online report and easy. Panic is over bc I shared with the best. Work with others bc they know when things are off and preparing was Easy— being wronged only hurt until a little observation—- from there it’s been hard bc the least God helps. I act dumb bc I know how to take care of myself. Money isn’t that important bc it doesn’t matter now

Ahhh, thanks for clarifying. Next time it happens try a forced restart:

First take off any case. Then:

Press and very quickly release the volume up button. > Immediately press and very quickly release by the volume down button > Immediately press and hold down the side button and keep holding the side button until the Apple logo appears, release the side button. If your iPhone won't turn on or is frozen - Apple Support

That is what’s called a “respring” it restarts the springboard, on another note have you ever jailbroken your device because if you have, and you are currently in an unjailbroken state, reactivate your jailbreak, if you bought this second hand the previous owner must have jailbroken it before, if you are on iOS 15.8 - 16.1.2 you can fix your issue
