Blue direction arrow in maps showing wrong direction

New iPhone 14 Pro. 16.4.1

When traveling around, sometimes my maps directional icon (blue wedge coming from location dot) does t show the correct direction I’m going. Ex: traveling down a highway, the directional icon was 90 degrees to the left from the direction I was actually traveling. Not such a big deal on the highway but if I was walking it would have been next to impossible for me to find my way to my hotel in a strange city. Please advise.

iPhone 16 Google map compass not working I recently bought iPhone 16 and noticed Google Map compass is not working. When I make a turn, the map direction stays the same so I have hard time locating where I am driving. It is really dangerous as I constantly need to hit the compass to locate which way I am driving. Google maps and maps can’t work I tried deleting and re-downloading and even reinstalling the device but the app still doesn't work. To make it easier to understand, I use it to go from point A to point B, but the icon that displays my car is slow or after I pass a road with a curve or turn in different directions, it will display that I have passed that road after 5 to 10 seconds, which makes my travel experience extremely bad.
