I just recently got an Apple Card and added it to my wallet but I don’t see the option to setup a savings account. Can you help with that?

You apply through your Apple Cash card in your Wallet app on your iPhone. If you’ve set up Apple Cash, please follow these instruction,

How to set up Savings

  1. On your iPhone, open the Wallet app and tap Apple Card.
  2. Tap the More button , then tap Daily Cash.
  3. Tap Set Up next to Savings, then follow the onscreen instructions.

When opening Savings, you'll be asked if you want to transfer funds from your Apple Cash balance to your new account to start earning interest on that money. If you don't want to transfer your Apple Cash balance, just tap the Close button . If you want to transfer funds, tap Transfer Your Apple Cash and follow the onscreen instructions.

If you have any Daily Cash available to redeem as an Apple Card statement credit, that Daily Cash will be transferred to your new Savings account when you set up Savings.

If your Apple Card account is restricted or locked, you may not be able to open a Savings account. If your Apple Cash or Savings account is restricted or locked, you may not be able to transfer money to or from Savings. To access your funds, you'll need to contact a Savings Support Specialist.

Apple Credit Card is not where the process starts. It starts in Apple Cash. I’ll post the whole process, from start, below.

Let’s start with the basics and continue to the application for Apple Savings Account. Updating your iPhone to iOS 16.4.1 or higher is necessary or the application links will not appear. Link to update is below.

What you need to open and maintain an account

iPhone must be updated to latest version of iOS, 16.4.1 or higher, this requires an iPhone 8 or higher.

Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

iPhone must be updated or you can’t apply. Your Apple Cash account must be verified to transfer funds from Apple Cash account.

Once you’ve checked and verified the above requirements, you can apply for Apple Savings Account by following the steps in this support article.

Please do not confuse Settings app for Wallet app! The Wallet app is where you start to navigate to for approval for Apple Savings account.
