USB copy from the original DVD for Mac without optical drive

Hello,

I was trying to install my old original Photoshop CD on MacBook Pro without optical drive just to have a simple image editing application on my Mac. For that purpose I purchased an external optical drive, which although was able to play music and movies from DVDs, was dead silent when I put in the installation CD. Is there a way I can open the CD files on my Windows PC to make a USB copy I can use on Mac?
