Hey, I’ve had similar things happen before and it’s frustrating. Sometime after a little digging and a few changes they find their way back. Just to clarify what the issue is I’m going to paraphrase what I think you meant so there is no confusion.

You moved from an old phone to a new phone and ported your photos and information in the store via the transfer from nearby phone option? And you’re missing a block of photos?

A couple questions!

Do you still have that old phone?

Are you using the same Apple account on the new phone that you used on the old phone?

Check your iCloud settings

your name> iCloud>apps using iCloud

next to “photos”, is it turned on?

also from this section look at your backup, and see if photos is turned on in your backup settings as well.

log into your Apple ID on your browser ( https://appleid.apple.com/) and go to “Devices” under devices, click on one of the phones available. When you do that it should say when your phone was last backed up.

if it was the date that the person in the store did it, and everything is turned on as it should be, I would consider factory resetting your phone and restoring from the backup. But only if you are sure that it was fully backed up then. This in the past has restored everything I needed.

alternatively you could also look other places, like google photos might of backed them up for you if you had that installed? Or other cloud storage things similar.

best of luck!
