Retrieve deleted text messages.

Do you have iOS 16 installed on your phone? If you do.......

Tap Messages on the Home Screen

Tap Edit in the upper left corner of the screen

Tap Show Recently Deleted

Messages that have been deleted in the last 30-35 days will appear here

Tap to select a message that you want to recover

Tap Recover at the lower right of the window

If the message you are looking for does not appear in Recently Deleted, it was deleted more than 35 days ago, and is no longer recoverable.
