Is it possible to auto save Pages and Numbers documents?

Would anyone know how it's possible to auto save documents?\

I haven't found any options.

I understand you have to initially save a new document and then it should autosave to icloud, but what is the frequency of the saving?

It seems to not do it to either pages or numbers.

Thanks.

Pages, Numbers, or Keynote, after an initial document save, will autosave locally approximately every 10 seconds (if there is new content to save). If your iCloud Drive synchronization is correctly established between the Mac and iCloud, and if you have the same document open on iCloud and Pages for the Mac, you can actually observe the update appearing in the respective Pages session on iCloud as it is saved on the Mac. It won't happen in 10 seconds, but at the mercy of the Internet propagation delays between you and iCloud. That might be 15 - 20 seconds or longer.

Hi Scottie,

If you are using Time Machine, your mac should be saving a mew version of your document whenever you make a change to it. These updates occur several times per minute when you're on a roll.

The autosave can be to files in iCloud or to files on an external drive or to the internal storage space in you Mac, depending on where you have chosen to store them.

Try entering Time Machine and tracking the versions of a recent file/document.

Barry
