viewing and deleting multiple RAW images

I take multiple images of birds with my Olympus (which shoots at bursts of 50 fps). I need to examine each burst (often of up to 20/30 shots each) discard the failures and save the best. What’s the best way of doing this? Via the Photos app? Via a dedicated Photo Organizer? Deleting each failed shot by hand is no fun.

ProRaw 16:9 images not raw I took a stack load of pics in ProRaw format (.DNG). However, the pics appear to be smaller in filesize and do not automatically open in Camera Raw. Looks like the pics are not in raw format. All these pics were taken in 16:9 format. However, the other pics I took on same settings but in 4:3 format come out with large filesize and proper raw and open automatically in Camer Raw. So it looks as though the 16:9 pics are recorded as .dng files but in effect are not raw pics??? Anyway to recover the raw pics that were taken in 16:9?

Apple ProRaw file format and options High Efficiency & Most Compatible Question on iPhone 12 ProMax photo file formats (and this carries over to the other iPhone cameras that support RAW). It's not clear to me the overlap, if any, in the camera settings when using Apple ProRaw (APR) and the other two settings of HEIC and Most Compatible (MC). It's confusing in that I can select Apple ProRaw and then still have the option to select HEIC or Most Compatible. I want the most information from my shots so I almost always shoot APR but does it make a difference as to whether HEIR or MC is checked? I haven't been able to find any info on the relationship if any between these settings but I'll venture a guess. I am guessing that if one selects APR, then the shots are by default all shot Raw and will show up as DNG files when imported into LightRoom (that's my workflow anyways). Now, if one turns off Raw by toggling the button on the camera when taking a shot, then the choice of HEIC or MC kicks in. So I'm guessing that there is no overlap between APR and the other two settings, but it's confusing that the options/relationships are not made more clear. Thanks.

Photos upload leads to separate headshots of all the people within each photo within photos library MacOS Big Sur Vers 11.7.9 using phots app Version 6.0 (361.0.100) I've recently uploaded all photos into the photos app from scratch as I had lost my data in a corrupt external drive. Roughly 30,000 images taken from my and my wifes iphones over the past 10 years or so. The data was thankfully recovered but now I have large sets of what can only be described as mugshots which look to be extracts from each photo. Lets say there are 10 photos each with 5 people in the photo, there would be individual headshots from each photo, working out with 50 or so extra headshot photos from the 10 original photos . I'm going through the library removing duplicates (thanks for the assistance Photosweeper) and other useless photos but there can be 500 extra photos for every 2000 images just because of the anomaly. Please help.
