Hi!
eSIM is an industry standard digital SIM that allows you to activate a cellular plan with your phone provider without having to use a physical SIM. To set up eSIM on your iPhone, you must have an international phone carrier or service provider that supports eSIM. The iPhone supports esim in 190 different regions. To check if your carrier supports eSIM, search this site: Apple Support - Supported operators on eSIM for iPhone
If you can’t configure eSIM on your iPhone, you can follow these steps:
1) Go to Settings > General > Info and search for any numbers under EID. If there are no numbers, contact Apple Support.
2) After configuring eSIM, open the Control Center by swiping down from the top right corner of the screen. Check if your operator appears in the status bar. If not, go to the next step.
3) Turn airplane mode on and off.
4) Go to Settings > Mobile and check if the number you are trying to activate is shown. If it is, turn off the line and then turn it back on.
5) Restart your device or devices. If you still cannot configure your eSIM, contact your carrier.
I hope I helped you!

What country are you in? Who is your carrier?
What is the model number of your phone displayed in Settings>General>About>Model Number?
The only iphones that don’t support eSIMs are those sold in China, Hong Kong, and Macau. Those are dual physical SIM only. Those sold in the US are eSIM only (iphone 14 models). Those sold in the rest of the world are 1 eSIM and one physical SIM.
That phone doesn't have an eSIM. It's for the China/Hong Kong market. It supports 2 physical Nano-SIMs.
What is the error message that you get? Did you contact your carrier for help with this?
I check by special code, and I got a message that my phone doesnt support esim. I contact my carrier and they advised to contact with apple support.
