Moved iTunes to new computer, existing songs have the download icon

I built a new PC and installed Win 10.

One of the SSDs I had from the old PC was used only for my iTunes library. I backed up that drive and restored it to an new M.2 SSD on the new PC, assigning the drive letter D: just like on the old PC. Checking the setup in the old PC, the setting (Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced -> iTunes Media Folder location) is D:\iTunes.

Installed iTunes on the new PC, opened it up and set the same folder location.

Now, when I click on Songs list in the Library, they all show the blue iCloud icon to download them, even though it appears that the list is showing all the songs that already exist in my library.

Any idea why its not recognizing that all the songs that are already there?

See Move your iTunes library to a new computer - Apple Community. At a guess you only have the media and not the library from the old computer. Updating the media folder doesn't discover content in that location.

Thanks @turingtest2, but I figured this out late last night.

I had read your great article, along with some others, but kept missing the obvious. I was so focused on the library itself, I completely missed moving all the other files. Once I moved everything from the old C:\Users\Johnny\Music\iTunes to the new machine, started iTunes while holding the Shift key and entered that path, everything is working.
