iPhone 13Pro. iOS 16.3.1. Phone vibrates but does not make sound with FindMy. I’ve done all of the previous suggestions (ringer on and volume up, Do Not Disturb Focus, also closed all other apps, and turned phone off/on) with no improvement. What to do?

This question is being asked again and again in various forms. I just got off the chat with customer support. Turns out, Apple apparently made a design decision to vibrate without sound for the first couple of seconds. So the phone will start vibrating... again... wait for it... wait some more... finally it starts also making noise. So for people testing the feature, like me, it looked like the sound doesn't work. Go figure... The frustration out there with this design decision is real.
