Is it ok to delete a file named "macOSUpd10.12.1.pkg"?

I found a file in Applications (Programs) called  “macOSUpd10.12.1.pkg”  “This file not supported on your system”. I can’t identify it and it’s 1.3GB . Since it won’t work I’d like to know if I can trash it?

That appears to be an old Sierra 10.12 updater that corresponds to the Oct 24, 2016 release of macOS 10.12.1.

If you used Migration Assistant to set up your current Mac from an older one, it likely came over in the move.

I see no reason to keep it.
