I have an iPhone SE, iMac, and a Macbook Air and am having trouble syncing text messages across all three devices. All three share the same apple ID.
All three can send/receive iMessages, and the phone and laptop will also send/receive regular SMS messages, but the iMac will NOT send/receive SMS messages.
Can anyone help me with a setting, etc. that might be off on the iMac?

Make sure you have message forwarding for the iMac enabled on the Messages app on the iPhone.
Sometimes I find that I must turn off Messages on the iPhone, then turn it back on. Do the same on the iMac by quitting the Messages app as well, even rebooting the Mac.
Sometimes the Messages app can get disconnected from the AppleID.
You may also need to log out of the AppleID and log back into the AppleID....I would try the other suggestions first, because signing back into the AppleID can be a pain in the neck requiring the user to possibly reconfiguring settings on the computer related to AppleID, iCloud, Messages, etc. including possibly having to re-enable message forwarding on the iPhone for your iMac.
