Is the MAIL password the same as the APPLE ID password?

Your email password, if that is what you are asking about, is the password you created for your email account when you set up the email account with your email provider.

Yes, , my account is with apple (.Mac, .cloud, .me) I am being prompted by a security breach to change my email password which i probably set up 25 years ago. Where do i find it to reset or do I just change my AppleID password? (Which i change occasionally)
