How to disable change Wallpaper from Lock Screen

I bet even 25 year olds find this annoying

Not sure what age has to do with anything. I'm 68 years old and am not bothered by it at all. And I've NEVER accidentally changed my wallpaper from the lock screen.

This is just plain wrong. I don't have an Apple watch and it happens to me all the time. I have turned off tap to wake.

You are correct. However your answer does not apply to the question. The post points to the interruption. Having one extra step, defeats the purpose of raise to wake.

Go to Settings > Display & Brightness > Always On

If “Always On” is not turned on, turn it on, and then toggle “Show Wallpaper” to the off position. Then you can turn “Always On” back off.

Agree that is a ridiculous bug and very frustrating on phone and ipad

First time iPhone user here(15 Pro Max) and I 100% agree that this "Feature" is really annoying. Already submitted the product feedback.

I do hope they will include an option to disable this.

My accidental launch vs. intentional launch is probably 99 to 1. Apple please kill this feature

This is the most annoy thing EVER!!! I’ll change my wallpaper if and when I want not by accidentally holding my phone …. Jeez!!! Fix it plueeese!!

My iOS does not allow customization from the locked screen. Says “unlock to edit” but would still like the option to turn this off. If you have FaceID enabled (like 99% of users), turn your phone away from you slightly to keep the screen locked and attempt the long press…
