16.4.1 update now phone calls drop.

I have an iPhone 11 that worked perfectly. I did the recent 16.4.1 update and now my phone calls drop constantly. I have rebooted. I have reset network settings. I have no interest in a full reset that will cause me to start from scratch. I've had this phone for years. I love this phone. I can't tolerate that every 2 to 3 minutes phone calls disconnect. This only started after that update. It doesn't matter if it's incoming or outgoing. Anyone else have this issue? Any ideas?

As colopaly suggested and few others had also confirmed. I did the below today after much hesitation and doubt. I really don’t want the hassle of setting everything back again but I do desperately want the issue to be resolved at any cost.

General >> Transfer or reset iphone >> Reset >> Reset all settings

I’m in iOS 16.5 version. And it did fix the issue. I made multiple long duration calls and none of the calls dropped. Hoping this will remain the same throughout.

Also really hesitant to due any software updates further.

I had to redo my Face ID, mark all notifications for the apps, my screen time set up was erased, all my Wi-Fi details and paired devices details are lost. Basically whatever changes we had already done in “Settings” app is reset to defaults. I took a lot of time for me to do those again. I’m not sure I’ve missed anything else. May be I’ll set them up whenever I discover.

Good news Chill890, that after reset, don't drop calls!

Other people try to reset the phone after install 16.5? The full reset solution is worked for they?

I don't want to reset the phone (just if the reset is really the workaround the dropped calls) because lot of settings must i restore, and i havn't enough time yet. It is really frustrating...

Good to hear it worked for you as well.

I discovered that I lost all the focus that I had set up. Also all my alarms are lost.

It’s a real pain and we shouldn’t have to go through all this for no mistake of ours.

Atleast we are able to attend calls now. Thanks.

My battery is at 100% health (phone was new in March 2023) and it has started dropping calls since iOS 16 something. Not sure which update, but it's bad. Today a doctor's office tried calling me to schedule an appointment, and the minute I swiped to answer, the call dropped. :( Super frustrating. I've had Apple products for over 10 years and have always been happy with them. This is ridiculous, though.

Thank you so much for the suggestion. I have toggled it off and I will see if it changes the situation. I have been using my phone only on speaker and it seemed to not drop calls That way. I will try it off speaker and see if this adjustment helps. Appreciate the idea.

I have iPhone 13, not even paid d for yet and I have the same issues. Dropped calls. Apps crashing. And yes, I have restarted and looked for app updates. I have had same issues in my house or out on the road (wifi and cellular). There have been times when it was not even a good paper weight. Now I am back to calls dropping and apps crashing. Calls not even ringing through.

My calls are dropping not using headphones, so I've never turn noise cancellation on. But Wi-Fi calls are on and it didn't do anything.

I also have the same problem and my battery is fine! Don’t listen to the people that say’s you have to change battery! Jesus! Apple Will fix it eventually
