apple notes photo size

I was unable to attach the example of having moved the photo with handles intact in this reply like i did with my photo over pencil scribble previous post. So to reiterate to freeform scale a photo in notes with scaling handles, it needs to be eith opened on a text or drawing in notes and when ut is upon the drawing click on it and the scaling handles will appear. Ut is buggy. Im on an ipad pro with os 16.6. Goodluck . It is great because you can aesthetically design your photo to fit wih either your apple pencil cursive or drawing!

You're correct. The only option to resize an attachment is Small Images or Large Images as shown here: Add photos, videos, and more to notes on iPad - Apple Support

Assuming you're using MacOS Sonoma; If you have inserted a file into your note, you'll find a down arrow on the right side of the file name. Clicking on that arrow opens a popup menu and in the middle, you find an option "view as" that gives you three size choices. So resizing is irrelevant as long as you control the size of what appears in your note.

It is a different story with pasting images, the best solution at the moment is to use the Preview App and use File>"new from clipboard", resize and save as a file and then insert, which is a bit of a nuisance when you can just take a screenshot (saved as a file) and just insert that file

Since i am using MacOS Monterey and Notes ver. Version 4.9 (2010.2) on Macbook Air 2017. I tried dragging photo over text and it treated as text and no freeform handles appear, instead text cursor.

Is there any suggestion else of it?

Sorry about the delay of the sample attachment i just posted showing the copied, moved and with yellow handles photo. You can delete either of the same photo by clicking on it with your finger and choosing the three dot in the corner and choose cut.! I wasnt paying close enough attention with the three dots which allows you to attach a pic. Thanks

I should mention that it will have unpredictable effects on your entire note, so in this way my workaround introduces a problem, something the development team may already be aware of, that is why they suggested above Notes app is only capable of thumbnail or large from the popup menu. BEWARE!🤣🤣🤣

This is ncorrect as i have the same specs and frequently can scale with the yellow handles to whatever size i choose.
