Can't connect to Google Home with Wifi using iPhone 14 Pro
I have an iPhone 14 Pro running iOS 16.3.1, with Google Home installed I've been using it to control a range of Smart devices for many months.
Recently all devices became inactive (inaccessible) through my app, though my wife had no problem at all controlling them using an older iPhone.
I discovered that if I turned the wifi off, the devices were suddenly accessible again through my iPhone (my wife did not have any issue like this) – which was frankly bizarre.
I'm not aware of any updates to the iOS, or changes to the wifi settings before having these issues, though I suppose there must have been... this only affects my iPhone however when using WiFi. I can control devices using 4G and 5G, but obviously that's not ideal given I work from home I want the wifi on my phone to be used while around the house.
I've gone through the entire playbook of Google support, and as I say, my wife has no issue, so it's not a Google Home issue.
Other info:
I've a new Virgin Hub 5 installed, though the issues began before I installed this.
Everything else works just fine with Wifi, it's just Google Home that won't function.
Any thoughts anyone?
Thanks, Nick
